\nLong before it was a crafting retreat destination, Croixwood Farm Retreat was one of the many working farms of Eau Galle Township in western Wisconsin.\u00a0 Set among the rolling hills of the St. Croix River Valley the farm is located at the highest point in the county, allowing for scenic views all around.\u00a0 The land originally granted to James E. Perrin in 1852, was purchased by the Larson family in 1955.\u00a0 For over 45 years the Larson family operated a dairy farm and grew crops on the land. The main house was built around 1908 with a large, grassy front yard and surrounded by open fields.\u00a0 Just a stone\u2019s throw from the main house is a detached garage, dairy barn, pole barn and three silos.<\/p>\n

In 2001, Mike and Mary Theis purchased the property.\u00a0 Both were drawn to the land because of its open space, beautiful rolling hills and the silence it afforded.\u00a0 Over the years they have made renovations to the property and used it with their family to enjoy quiet getaways from city life, always toying with the idea of transforming it back into its glory days as a real working farm.<\/p>\n

That was until inspiration struck.\u00a0 Mike and Mary realized they could share their bit of peace and quiet with others by opening it up for crafting retreats.\u00a0 With its beautiful surroundings and close proximity to the Twin Cities and Eau Claire, Croixwood Farm makes for a perfect retreat getaway where groups can come to unwind, connect, and get inspired.<\/p>\n
